The net abrasives Abranet® uses a patented, open-weave design instead of the typical solid paper or cloth backing. This net, made of polyamide fabric with abrasive grains bonded to it, allows for nearly dust-free sanding when used with Mirka’s Dust Extractors and Power Tools, since a sanding particle is never more than 0.5 mm from a dust extraction hole. The open net structure enables dust particles to be sucked through the net abrasive, into the vacuum, significantly reducing airborne dust and improving the working environment. This results in a smoother, more consistent finish and a longer lifespan for the abrasive.
